What Is The CGSET Exam ?
Chhattisgarh State Eligibility Test as its name suggests is a qualifying eligibility test exam conducted annually by the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board(CGPEB) also known as Vyapam( Vyavasayik Pariksha Mandal) for appointments as assistant professor at colleges and universities of Chhattisgarh. It was first conducted in 2006. Other states have their own SET exams.

What Is The Age Limit And Educational Qualifications For CGSET Exam 2024?
There is no age limit for appearing in this exam. Educational qualifications are as follows :
To appear in the exam one is needed to have postgraduation degree or equivalent degree from UGC approved universities with minimum 55%(for ST/SC/OBC non-creamy layer it is 50 %) marks.
One can also appear in the exam who is appearing in the last year of postgraduation or equivalent exams and acquire the previously said qualifying mark within 1 year of declaration of the result of last year of postgraduation or equivalent exam.

Exam comprises of two papers- Paper I And Paper II on single day. Both question papers have multichoice objective type questions.
Paper I–
Paper I is compulsory. This paper is of general nature in which candidates are asked questions for testing followings : teaching aptitude, research aptitude, communication, logical reasoning, comprehension, general awareness. It has 50 questions, each are alloted 02 marks. It is expected from candidates to answer all the questions.
Paper II–
Candidates have to choose any 1 of the 19 subjects for paper II. Paper II comprises of 100 questions from syllabus of selected subject for paper II and syllabus of paper I. Each questions are alloted 02 marks.

How To Prepare For CGSET Exam 2024 ?
Preparation Strategy :
Previous years’ question papers and syllabus act as a guiding torchlight for any competitive exams.
As aspirants of this exam are potgraduates, they are capable enough of making strategy for this exam. As competitive exams are totally different in nature than college exams, preparation strategy plays a big role for cracking/qualifying them.
Her is an strategy as an example. Candidates can take an idea from it and make their own strategy according to circumstances and conditions.
Previous Years’ Question Papers:
Analyse and Observe- meaning, try to figure out- questions were asked from which sections of the syllabus and what are their depth i.e. whether questions can be answered by reading study materials or not ? this should be done for atleast last 3 years.
Syllabus Of The Subjects :
Detailed syllabus of the subjects have been provided by the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board. Cover and understand sections and subsections of the syllabus of your subject at your own pace. make rough timeline for completion of sections and subsections like this much part of the syllabus should be completed by this time or this month or that week etc.
Study Materials :
One can opt for study materials like books and other reading material or any cources offline or online which cover all the section of the subject in details.
Practice:
Practise section-wise quetions alongside completion of the section. After completion of the all sections of the subjects one should go for practice of full-length tests.
Revise:
One should target atleast two or if time amd efforts permit as much times as possible revisions of the complete subject plus one revision just before the exam.
